Bali, Indonesia was a semi-unscheduled stop in our Asia travels this year. We didn’t have it on our radar, but as the political situation in Thailand became more stressful and our plans for Phuket began to fall through, we began to look at adding a new location before heading to Cambodia. Thanks to AirAsia, Bali was now on our map! We had friends of friends that lived there, and we set off to visit at the end of May. And I’m so glad we did. We fell in love with this place. Bali is known for it’s breathtaking beaches, rich culture, and religious traditions. And we saw all of those things in our short stay. Our friends lived in a fishing village in Jimbaran, south of Kuta, which is where we spent the majority of our time.

We want to and see even more in this tropical paradise. But our first trip was still absolute heaven. Here’s some of the beach beauty we captured on our first Bali trip of this year!
