What a delightful change of pace! Many of the novels and nonfiction that I have been reading for this Around the World Reading Challenge have been heavy, dark and serious. Three Apples Fell from the Sky by Narine Abgaryan was quirky and light. The story is set in a remote village in the mountains of Armenia and follows the lives of truly unique characters and their mundane and not-so-mundane lives. While it’s not the best book I’ve ever read, I really enjoyed this breath of fresh air and the great character development.
